Deb Forsten

ForstenDeb has been involved in web development and management for over 20 years, through marketing, communications and technology consulting. She has worked extensively in both the PC and Macintosh environments since the late 1980’s.  In 1998, she established Zenith Associates, a marketing and technology consulting company to focus on assisting clients with “de-mystifying” technology for practical application and developing the promotional and educational tools needed to meet their goals and expectations.  She specializes in small business, non-profit organizations and associations.  She has published over 40 articles in books, magazines and newspapers and presented locally and nationally on a variety of topics related to computer technologies.  In addition, she is the founder of the Social Media Roundup, a local social media groups, hosting monthly sessions to assist small business professionals in learning how to integrate social media into their traditional mix.

Most recently, she was hired as a co-general manager, part of a husband/wife team to launch a 6 million dollar new storage facility in Arvada, Colorado for private owners who contracted Universal Storage Group to manage and market the new property. This was a two person team operation and we were responsible for not only managing all aspects of the daily leasing and property maintenance & management but also for developing and executing a marketing strategy & plan for the facility while establishing a new brand in the Denver, Colorado area market.  Through an aggressive networking, word of mouth, paid referral program, and a billboard campaign, we achieved over 40% occupancy after the first year and brought the facility revenues in at 146% of projection.

She has worked for Gateway Computer Company as a software trainer and was an adjunct faculty member at Palm Beach State College in the Corporate and Continuing Education department from 1998 through 2013.

On a professional note, she has served on the National Association for Women in Communications(AWC) Board of Directors and is a board adviser for the Matrix Foundation. She was an active member of the Executive Women’s Golf Association and served as the Vice President of the South Florida Chapter of National Association for Women in Communications(AWC).
